I was in class nine when I started pestering my dad for a camera. My school had introduced photography as an extracurricular — and that was it. Once I had one, I never put it down.

I spent years convinced wildlife photography was my calling, until a candid conversation with a photographer I admired made me rethink it. That nudge sent me through a wedding photography internship, a video editing stint, and eventually to Light and Life Academy in Ooty — where I did my Post Graduate Diploma specialising in food, fashion, and product photography.

That's where I stopped chasing a genre and started trusting my eye.

I'm now based in Calcutta, shooting food, fashion, and product photography. Every shoot starts long before I pick up the camera — I want my references ready, my lighting sorted, my questions answered. Because when I'm on set, the only thing I'm focused on is getting the image out of my head and onto the frame.
